- Data Simplification Function
Removing fillet/chamfer from model is made easy using spGate, because it takes care of the topology links.
You can let spGate identify the fillets/chamfers or you can manually indicate the fillets/chamfer that needs to be undone. Then you can let spGate remove all them automatically, or you can manually indicate which one to remove.
Even compounded fillets can be removed automatically by using a grouping function.
You can also defeature boss structures, holes, or notch cutouts and thereby eliminate unnecessary details before processing the model for analysis.
- Hidden Face Removal Function
This function eliminates faces hidden from configured point of views.
Even 10,000 faces can be removed from a 3D model with within a couple of seconds.
In CG field, eliminating unnecessary faces leads to faster rendering.
In inspection, you would also save much time by narrow down the necessary 3D data.
- Working on mesh
Use PolyMend to remove mesh related data errors, such as gaps between mesh polygons.
- Unfold 3D data to 2D
This function can be used in various field of interests including motorcycle's decal design and 3D logo stickers manufacturing.
Pseudo-color simulation shows you where wrinkling or stretching may occur when 2D sticker is placed on 3D surface.
