spScan offers multiple reverse engineering methods that include not only total reverse engineering to create the entire shape from a polygon mesh but also partial reverse engineering to reverse engineer only portions that are targeted for correction.

If CAD data for the object targeted for reverse engineering is available, that CAD data can be utilized for reverse engineering.

CAD import

CAD formats that can be imported are IGES and STEP, the general standard formats. Please consult with us if you’re interested in importing native CAD formats of CATIA, NX or the like.
